JR. PRIMARY - Instead of writing the questions, ask the kids before each phrase, to run across if they can figure out which question yous sing about. Then read 2 of the questions, one that is correct and ane that is wrong. (Ex: Does this phase ask about shepherds or herald angels?).

GAME VARIATION: Instead of words, employ PICTURES - west hich pictures  are not in the vocal          (see #iv SPOT Information technology beneath). Become the game in the song package Here.

Ask the kids to find what discussion ends each phrase and see if they can effigy out the matching rhyming words.

10. SINGING IN THE ROUND

[Idea credit: http://intheleafytreetopsthebirdssing.blogspot.com]

Assign each class one of the questions to sing and then anybody sings the last part together. Rotate the questions/phrases and repeat until every course has had a turn singing each of the questions. For movement, you could have them stand and sing on their turn and so sit.

4 CORNERS VARIATION:

Mail service each of the question phrases or visuals on each of the four walls around the room, due east.g. one wall would have, "I wonder when he comes again, volition herald angels sing?", then the next wall would have posted, "Will earth be white with drifted snow, or will the earth know spring?" and so along. Assign each class to stand up by i of the walls forth with their instructor(s). Anybody turns effectually and faces you lot—you'll be standing in the center of the room. You turn and face the first class and lead them as they sing their function, turning and leading each class as you become. When yous finish the vocal, each class moves rotating to the side by side wall and phrase of the song. Echo the process.

Tell the kids you have this thought chimera (show information technology and agree it upwardly higher up your head to the side), which will show what things we wonder about Jesus'south second coming. Then sing the song as y'all put the figures in the thought bubble (ii per phrase). So remove the figures and put them up on the board as you add the side by side phrases figures to the thought bubble. Repeat till you lot've done the whole song. [See a video case here].

Variation: Pass out the pictures to the kids as y'all sing through the verse. Echo and have the kids come put their images on the thought bubble every bit you sing the phrase (repeat each phrase 2x and then the kids have time to come upward and put on their pictures then for everyone to expect at the pictures as they sing the phrase).
